Description: This video replay presentation will discuss important information that you need to get from the client as well as special bond conditions that need to be requested at arraignment, such as permission to leave the state or work curfew exception. You will also look deeper into traffic tickets and how to save your client points and fines, as well as examine the importance of resolving a case at arraignment if that is what your client would like to do.

  • Find out special bond conditions so you don’t have to file a motion later
  • Know the different traffic violation points & fines so you can negotiate
  • Try to resolve case same day if that is what your client wants

Shayne is with the Berrien County Public Defender Office. She has been with Berrien County since 2017 when she worked as a PAAM intern and graduated from Valparaiso Law School in 2018. She joined the Defender's Office in January 2019.
